Meet Our Team
Dr. Joseph Gowen, OD
Dr. Gowen is passionate about helping patients improve their quality of life. After all, we only get one pair of eyes! With the opportunity to see many patients more often than they see their primary care provider (don’t forget to come in once a year!), he enjoys the opportunity to educate and counsel patients about their eye health and wellness as well as their overall health.
Dr. Gowen graduated from the Southern California College of Optometry, and has been practicing optometry since 2005. He cares deeply about his patients and strives to treat them with the same care that they give their own family members.
Dr. Gowen has lived in Southern Colorado since 2007, and enjoys running, hiking, snowboarding, watching movies, and pickleball in his spare time.

Lori Santisteven, Office Manager
Lori is fascinated with the science and history of eyecare–did you know that Leonardo da Vinci created the first contact lens? While she is enthralled with the advances in eyecare, her favorite part of working here is helping patients get much-needed relief with eye issues.
Lori began in the field at a gas-permeable contact lens lab, and her interest in the complexity of the eyes has led her to become an optician. She encourages everyone to attend their annual eye exam—the correlation between eyes and brain is very important and many medical conditions can be discovered in the yearly checkup.
In her free time, Lori loves to watch movies, spend time with family, write, game, and just enjoy being home.

Rhonda loves helping people see the world in a different light, and eyecare is the perfect way to do that! She is always looking for ways to continue learning about eye health, and wants everyone to remember…”You only have two eyes. Take care of them!”
